Saturday saw us on the receiving end of a very one sided score line at home to Aylesbury Vale Dynamos, the result reflecting the days weather, miserable!

We could not have gotten off to a worse start going 1-0 down with just 2 minutes on the clock. A clever turn on the edge of the box by the Dynamos forward left him just Lincon to beat and he done so with ease finding the bottom corner of the net. We should have had ourselves level just after the 10 minute mark, a well worked run down the right was delivered into Mourad Jarraz who had the goal gaping but his shot went just over the top of the Dynamos crossbar. From that resulting goal kick Dynamos found themselves 2-0 up, a long ball upfield from the away sides keeper wasn't dealt with by our backline and was picked up by the attacker whose curling effort found its way in passed Lincon. After throwing away a two goal disadvantage we began getting a foothold in the game with spells of possession but without any clear cut opportunities to test the away keeper. Our best opportunity came to Adrian Dubovecky whose strike from 25 yards, similar to the distance of his goal the previous week, was only good enough to rock the post. There were further chances at both ends of the pitch but neither side were able to take these before the halftime whistle went.

The second half started and Broadfields came out with sense of renewed purpose, as well as a change in formation. This was to be to no avail though as, within 4 minutes of the restart, Aylesbury had extended their lead. Another defensive error was duly punished by the Dynamos forward who was having a hell of game. He disposed our defender and his strike from distance managed to just find the bottom corner of a stretching Lincon Vitor De Oliviera Marques' net. We were further punished 10 minutes later, a run down our left crossed into the the six yard box was tidily put into the back of our net by the Dynamos attacker in a move that was identical to our opportunity in the first half. Dynamos went onto score their fifth 8 minutes later in the 66th minute of the match. A clever through ball split our defence and, although there were huge shouts for offside, which had huge basis, the assistant had no intention of entertaining these shouts, the Dynamos forward managed to secure his hattrick by slotting another one home. There was time for a Connor Spinks strike from distance that on another day would have rocked the top corner of the Aylesbury net, but the away sides keeper refused to be beaten today and pulled off a great save to deny us.

All in all a terrible day at the office. Punished at every opportunity by Aylesbury Vale Dynamos who were good for their win and will leave their new manager with a selection headache going forward.

Big improvements needed next weekend as we travel up to face Baldock Town on Saturday.
