The initial Combined Counties League Premier Division North fixtures for August have now been released and our opening day fixture will see us welcome Edgware & Kingsbury to Tithe Farm Sports & Social Club on Tuesday 6th August.
The fixture is subject to change, dependent on the outcome of our opening day Emirates FA Cup tie away to Rayners Lane and ‘The Wares’ own opening weekend Emirates FA Cup tie against Crawley Green.
Our first weekend league fixture will see us make the trip to Oxfordshire to face Milton United, whom we met at the same stage last season away from home, although this year the fixture will be played at Wallingford & Crowmarsh’s Hithercroft ground due to the ground upgrades Milton are undertaking this season. Following that away fixture we travel to Surrey to face Egham Town in a midweek encounter.
The weekend of the 17th August is scheduled for the next round of The Emirates FA Cup so depending on the outcome of the Rayners Lane fixture we could be travelling to Kent to meet Herne Bay. That then leads to an encounter with our former landlords Harefield United on Tuesday 20th at Tithe Farm.
At present we have no game scheduled for the Bank Holiday Saturday, but this could and is likely to change, whilst we then welcome newly promoted Division One Champions, Amersham Town, on Bank Holiday Monday. The month then rounds off with a short trip to face Wembley the following weekend.
A busy and tough opening month of the season but with some great local derbies to look forward to.
Here is the opening schedule in full;
All the above fixtures are subject to change
We hope to be able to share the remaining fixtures for the rest of the season over the next few weeks, once they are finalised.
